To My Wife on our 7th Wedding Anniversary

To My Wife on our 7th Wedding Anniversary

Hey Beautiful,

Happy anniversary. At times it’s hard to believe we have been married for seven years. The time has truly flown by. We have accomplished so much and there is still much more left for us to do.

There are time when it seems like we’ve been married even longer than seven years. After all, we’ve known each other for 14 years. That is almost half my life we’ve known each other.

My Favorite Marriage Memory of the Year

Over the past year it’s hard to put one memory over another. However, a few memories continued to pop up over and over when I thought back to our fantastic year together. Believe it or not, it all comes back to other weddings. Which one? This year we went to 3 or 4 weddings (without the kids) and each one was special. Just like our wedding, you were my spotlight.

I know it sounds corny, but, whenever I saw the bride and groom exchanging their vows I thought back to our wedding. Seeing friends and loved ones dancing around, having a good time, being merry takes me back to when we were younger. It’s easy to transport back in time. I look into your eyes, see your smile, and it feels like the first day we met in Cumberland Hall.

Looking back at my uncle and aunt’s wedding in October last year, we showed up early because we didn’t account for the Jamaican time. Before the end of the night you were nearly stampeded when the Soca music came on.

At the News Year’s Eve wedding we danced, we crushed the Lord Stanley’s cake, and we gorged ourselves on pizza at the after party.

Then there was the wedding in New Hampshire where we chatted up our neighbors during the ceremony, made friends and influenced people to have more fun than we ever thought possible.

At the wedding in Maine, you gave me the look and I knew we were going to be legends before the night was over.

Well maybe it didn’t turn out like Blades of Glory but at least it didn’t end like these guys…

Or did we?

Seven years has been fun. Something tells me the next seven will be even better. I can’t wait for our next adventure together.

I love you.
